So, where are the creations? To be honest, I think I've lost my knitting mojo. And spinning mojo. So today I decided to go through my stash, and assess what stays and what I can destash through Ravelry. I haven't posted any of my stash in ravelry, or my projects, for months.

I realized that I have a lot less yarn than I thought. I know, I know, it looks like there are three bins of yarn/fiber. But one bin is full of half finished projects, another is worsted yarns that don't really inspire me, and the third is unspun fiber that I need to actually spin before I can knit with it- so that's a bin that is pretty much useless until it's spun. Which I need to do.
I have this habit of holding onto my favorite yarns. The handspun/handdyed one of a kind if-I-knit-with-this-then-it-will-be-gone-forever kind. These two skeins of Hello Yarn fat sock in Vegetation have been sitting in my stash for over a year. I love this colorway. Every time I see it I get so excited- the possibilities of what this yarn could become is overwhelming. I get nervous as well- what if I mess this up? What if the project looks like shit and I have to rip it out and then I get irritated with the yarn- and don't want to knit with it again? I've decided to face my fears and knit with my most precious yarns this fall and winter. Why not? What good is a stash of beautiful, never been touched one of a kind yarns? I need to relax, and realize that there will be other yarns, just as beautiful, to come my way.
