More tidbits!

I'm not sure what to write about today.  It's one of those days where I just feel crampy, a little overwhelmed and just not really focused.  How about some pictures from my week?

I think that a waffle iron was one of the best investments that I have ever made in my life.  When My Mister and I first started dating, I told him I couldn't cook.  I didn't mean to lie- I just wasn't confident and he was a sous-chef at a very, very nice restaurant.  A while into our relationship I asked him if he wanted waffles for breakfast.  He asked if I was speaking of Eggos- I told him that I would make them myself.  Two bites into the meal he proclaimed that they were the best waffles he had ever had in his life.

My Misters parents came over for dinner the other night, to celebrate my future mother in laws birthday! I bought this antique hand turned bowl as her gift, and My Mister bought and arranged the fruit- and the centerpiece was born! I love the natural burst of color- something I'm really craving right now in the middle of winter.

Have you ever noticed that cats know when an item of clothing is either new, or recently laundered? They just love to curl up on it, roll around on it, clean themselves on it. My Mister loves his new vest- and so does Harold.

Adventures in Lace KAL update: There are two new members of the KAL! Golden bird knits and Alaskan Purl have signed up knit with us! Hurray for knit-alongers- the more the merrier!!! There were a couple of people who suggested a flicker group- and I think it's a great idea! There's now a Flickr group- if any or all of you want to join.

  1. Those are some good looking waffles you made and some nice looking fruit your mister picked out. This lace knit along is exciting, I'm so glad you started this ball rolling.

  2. We love to make waffles in our house...even now that I'm eating gluten free. So excited to join the flickr group for the KAL! My first KAL!!! (I think I've officially entered nerdy knitter status as excited as I am to start.)

  3. Those waffles look delicious! I jump-started my new year's new food plan with a week of no carbs this week (they're my weakness). And I'm a carb girl so I am dying right now! I must turn away before I go right to the fridge and pull out whatever carb I see first...

Excited to be a part of the Lace KAL!

  5. Yum! Looks delicious!
Also, I don't have a flickr, so I can't join the group. Is that ok, or do you think I should just buckle down and join flickr?

  6. Your kitty looks so soft I wanted to reach out and touch that gorgeous fur. I have two cats myself and one tends to go for the laundry basket full of warm clothes the minute I set it down. The bowl with fruit is such a thoughtful gift.

  8. Oh, thank god I've just had lunch, otherwise I think I might have had to run home and make me some waffles. And nice to see another commenter who also eats gluten free - I've had gluten intolerance for about 10 years now, so I know what that's all about!

I LOVE your little kitty he is so cute! And he looks very snuggly on top of that vest :)
